Expert Advisor (EA)

Expert Advisor (EA) is automated trading software that executes trades on a trader’s behalf according to a pre-set strategy. Many firms restrict or ban EA use, or apply separate rules to algorithmic trading.

Firms are wary of EAs partly because some exploit pricing or latency quirks rather than trading genuine market edge; a firm’s EA policy is worth checking closely if any part of your strategy is automated.
