Glossary / Micro Futures Contract

Micro Futures Contract

Micro futures contract is a smaller-sized version of a standard futures contract, typically a tenth or a twentieth of the full contract’s notional value and tick value.

Micro contracts are what make smaller futures funded accounts practically tradeable; a firm’s account size and tick value rules only make sense once you know whether it’s quoting in micro or full-size contract terms.
